Entering
Malahat Mountain Meadows can be done when traveling south bound
on the Trans Canada Highway. Travel north approximately 1 kilometer
past the park entrance and turn left at the Shawnigan Lake exit.
Proceed back onto the highway and head south back to the park
entrance.

from:
Vancouver
and Swartz Bay Ferries:
After leaving the ferry terminal continue south bound
on the number 17 highway until you reach McKenzie Ave. Exit
the highway and head west along McKenzie until you reach the
Trans Canada Highway. Proceed north bound past Thetis Lake,
continuing through Goldstream Park and into the Malahat section
of the highway. As you make your way along the Malahat watch
for the Petro Canada Gas station and Malahat Mountain Inn restaurant.
Malahat Mountain Meadows is just past these on the left hand
side, but can only be accessed south bound by continuing north
and making a U-turn at the south Shawnigan lake turn off.
Downtown
Victoria and Seattle Ferries:
The
quickest way out of the downtown core is to find your way to
Douglas street and head north. Douglas runs north/south and
is approximately 3 blocks from the waterfront. It is also labeled
on many signs as the Number 1 Highway (Trans Canada Highway).
Proceed north bound past Thetis Lake, continuing through Goldstream
Park and into the Malahat section of the highway. As you make
your way along the Malahat watch for the Petro Canada Gas station
and Malahat Mountain Inn restaurant. Malahat Mountain Meadows
is just past these on the left hand side, but can only be accessed
south bound by continuing north and making a U-turn at the south
Shawnigan lake turn off.
North
Island and Nanaimo Ferries:
From
any location in the north or Central Island take the Number
1 Highway south bound through Ladysmith, Chemainus, Duncan and
Mill Bay and onto the Malahat section of the highway. Ascend
to the summit of the drive and continue past the south Shawnigan
Lake turn off. Continue south approximately 1 kilometer and
enter Malahat Mountain Meadows on the right hand side of the
road. |
